Volunteer Practice
Commit to help at the salon’s front desk for three days each week, and you'll gain invaluable insights assisting clients and aiding smooth operations.
Chair Time
Successfully managing front desk duties grants you three days of chair time weekly. Here, you’ll manage your schedule, set service pricing, and begin curating your personal brand as you serve your own clients, reaping benefits like client tips and sales commissions.

Open Chair Volunteer Program Sign Up
The Open Chair Program is designed to provide volunteer cosmetologists and barbers with opportunities to extend their knowledge and skills, as well as gain experience working with clients in a safe and supportive environment. It is not a promised spot in Studio No.1 or any other salon.
While participation in the program can be a great asset to volunteers' resumes and may help them build their professional networks, it does not guarantee any future placement in a salon or similar business.
Through this program, we aim to offer an immersive learning experience that challenges our volunteers to apply their skills and creativity in new and exciting ways. The program will equip them with valuable insights into what it takes to be successful in the beauty industry, including strong communication skills, excellent customer service, and adapting to the latest trends and techniques.
